Rosario Peñalva Fernandez has been a teacher in Huillo, Peru for many years. The boys and girls speak Quechua as their primary language which is the native language of the village, and Spanish is taught as a second language. Rosario has been a true advocate for these children and has guided ROCF with their projects over the years.
Anne and her father, Bill Schimmel, started the organization 18 years ago after visiting these remote mountain villages above the tree line.
Maureen first visited the villages in 2009 with ROCF and has been an important team member since.
Carlos has visited the villages to continue bringing dental care after he initially traveled with ROCF.
Monica is an essential volunteer whom has been supporting ROCF and translating for 2+ years.
Jennie is an administrative volunteer assisting with social media, fundraising and community building.
